Scientology Exploits The Virginia Tech Tragedy

cruise-handshake.jpg

As a journalist covering Scientology since 1996, I can assure readers that the cult is an evil, criminal, totalitarian mind-control outfit driven solely by greed as dictated by the unalterable doctrine of its insane, drug-addled, megalomaniac founder, L Ron Hubbard. Apart from the thousands of lives destroyed and innocent bodies buried as a result of Scientology cult abuse over the years -- most disturbing of late is their habit of exploiting tragedies for their own gain. The Virginia Tech tragedy is a case in point... Read More Here

Their main goals at VT are to keep trama victim's from seeing real therpist's and doctor's. In their emails they are claiming that the school and the Red Cross asked them to come and both say no such thing ever happend. They hope that by saying this they will earn respect and look like a church. But yet again they come off as a dangerous cult hurting those they claim to help.

CNN did a bit on it too, which Mark Bunker captured for posterity:

Boy do I understand your visceral hatred of this cult. I get it. You are up against a totalitarian regime that manipulates people and plays upon their weaknesses and runs recklessly over their lives and hurts and destroys and robs and lays waste, all while John Travolta sells them like they are some new form of sliced bread.

There is no easy answer for how such a thing can be opposed. Information is the best thing. Having access to, and taking the time to review a solid database of information like that found at www.rickross.com can be helpful to the lay person. The innocent, wide-eyed college kids at VT are defenseless against a totalitarian regime, unless they have access to information and a healthy mistrust of totalitarianism. I would suggest a group of volunteers get their act together and set up a tent next to every Scientology tent at all future "ground zero's."

They can busy themselves brokering relationships between traumatized people and genuine therapists, and during quiet times they can hand out copies of Eric Arthur Blair's "1984," and bootleg copies of the "Tom Cruise" episode of South Park, and lots of XENU leaflets*.

More importantly - how short is that David Miscavige guy. If Tom Cruise is half a head taller than him.

I think its utterly ridiculous that Scientology would even attempt to get involved with this tragedy. I know some people who go to school there (they were not among the people killed). I think people all know that Scientology is pretty much BS, all the exposure to the "faith" via Cruise has actually given them more of a voice, I think. Another reason to hate Cruise, haha. If you want to have another laugh at Cruise and other Scientoligist's...you should check out www.hollywoodzombies.com - I work with them, same people who did the garbage pail kids cards. Some pretty sick and funny stuff. I'm just surprised how Scientology manage's to keep Tom Cruise under control, since its fairly obvious he is completely insane.
