I'm on a brief working vacation from Suri, Scientology and Hollywood sex crimes, but it's my duty to invite my readers in on various events unfolding in the coming dog days of summer...
This weekend:
I will be in Las Vegas all weekend, wandering through the mostly broken hearts of WSOP action at the RIO Hotel & Casino. My work involves a one-stop, last ditch shop of an awesome Vegas story. Find me on the felt, call my cell, or e-mail me directly at MarkEbner59@gmail.com.
Next week:
Remember Drive-In movie theaters? I do, and get this - these temples of cinematic stimulation still exist in Southern California!

Tuesday takes me, the Bunny and her puppies in the F-Truck to...

Finally, SAVE THIS DATE: Wednesday, August 2, 2006 -
I've done Spoken Interludes, Uncabaret, and Poetry In Motion (with powerhouse poet Michael Lally)... but, it's been awhile since I've been so jazzed about a spoken word/music event.

Hey man. I think those at The Writers' Garage would be into www.thenervousbreakdown.com. It's a multi-blog site started by Brad Listi, bestselling author of "Attention.Deficit.Disorder." One of TNB's primary objectives is to introduce the work of talented writers to a wide and enthusiastic audience, so that these writers might develop their very own rabid cult followings.
I just had to share as it's a cool collective experiment. KJ

Drive-ins still exist outside of Cali too, believe it or not. Ours is open 7 days a week from like May to September - 2 movies, 7 bucks, and they actually play new releases, not too bad of a deal.
