CRUISE AND...BURN! - May 7, 2006

It's no secret that the weekend box office numbers were embarrassingly off for MI:3, but did anyone in Hollywood notice anything hinky going on at the ArcLight on Friday?

Hollywood, Interrupted just received an eyewitness report from a moviegoer who, while purchasing tickets for a later show that day, saw a woman in front of him in the ticket line purchase 900 tickets at a cost of just shy of $9,000 - all for the Church of Scientology!

An ArcLight guest services rep would not confirm whether or not an excessive ticket purchase like that was made, but, if anyone at a Friday screening noticed completely inappropriate cheering and shouts of "Go T.C." during a screening, then we'll take that as all the confirmation we need. (If you joined the cheering when the heterosexual Tom Cruise got his butt kicked by Philip Seymour Hoffman, you were in the right place).

Rumour has it that an obscure first novel may be in the future for one of George Clooney’s next film projects. The book is ‘The Cadillac Diet or An Act of God is a Hard Act to Follow’ by m.lewis. Apparently the book has been kicking around Hollywood for a couple of years with iconic literary agent Mike Hamilburg. Will Clooney direct and act (as in ‘Good Night and Good Luck’) or ‘just’ act? The lead male part of Michael Wade seems perfect for Clooney, especially if he dons a few pounds as in ‘Syriana’. No word on the female lead yet. It might be perfect for an Eva Longoria type. The character is Maria Diana Magdalena. (Mary Magdalena?) She’s a Cuban-Italian-American tele reporter that grudgingly falls in love with the potential Clooney character.

Another part of the rumour has famed director Robert Altman at the helm with screenplay by the masterful William Goldman (Marathon Man, The Chamber, Misery, Shazam, etc.). The film version may be re-titled ‘An Act of God is a Hard Act to Follow’.

The story (which received a favourable write-up by actor James McDaniel and others) concerns love, family, race relations, spirituality and The Second Coming? This must be a bit of a comedy, too-eh?

I went to see Silent Hill on Sat night. When I left the movie theater around 1 in the morning, the place was packed with Scientologists. It was embarassing to our town, as I have done my best to keep those freaks at bay. It was also a bit scary, as most had suitcases at a fucking theater, and I swear one could see in their eyes that the soul had departed their bodies already.
It was scary

The 900 tickets were purchased in response to a tip-off that Lord Xenu had touched down at LAX, on one of his space planes, and was planning to attend that performance of MI3.

His intention was to sit at the back of the theatre and throw buttered popcorn at Scientologists in the audience.

Also, whenever Tom Cruise appeared on screen, Lord Xenu was going to cough loudly in a way that sounded like he might be saying the words: 'homosexual' and 'closet case.'

By harnessing their great material wealth, the Scientologists were able to force Lord Xenu to attend a later showing of the film, where no Scientologists were present and where he was politely asked by the couple, sitting in front of him, to stop coughing.

Frankly I've been a little disappointed by the content lately. This no-confirmations who-cares tabloid bullshit isn't fun to read.

They pulled this same crap with Battlefield Dirt when it came out, forcing Scientology's faithful to attend multiple viewings, one of their worst human rights abuses to date.

What I don't understand is why they would bother with a film like MI:3, not that I expect much clear thinking when it comes to Scientologists. Tom Cruise could shoot the Pope and audiences would still turn out for an ear-numbing action flick, especially if it's the only one showing. 900 tickets isn't going to make a difference in the scheme of things.

Scientology often repeats the LIE that there are 8 million scientologists,

IF THERE WERE

MI3 would have made a hell of a lot more on opening night!

Maybe Paramount believed Scientology's Lies

There are actually no more than 55,000 in the USA...Proof HERE
http://www.lermanet.com/howmany.htm

Believeing just ONE of Scientology's lies can be harmful to your health AND expensive!

MI3 Box-office plunge!
Cost $150,000,000.00

Friday $16,632,157
Saturday $18,409,876 +10%
Sunday $12,701,240 -31%
Monday $ 3,531,502 -72%!!!!

No kidding about the numbers. Britain's last religious demographics survey showed there are more people in the UK that consider themselves Jedi Knights than Scientologists. The sad thing is that Scientologists are actual the bigger fantasists of the two.

Oh dem scientologists will burn anyone to cover up all the criminal activity they do! And do not even think of Tom Cruise's faggy bevavior - - you will be tortured to death1
