Hollywood, Interrupted has just learned that actor, icon, "America's Dad," and accused serial sexual assaulter Bill Cosby has just settled and paid big bucks to avoid fallout from a 2006 lawsuit filed against his attorney Marty Singer and the National Enquirer by accuser Andrea Constand. In her bombshell complaint, Constand alleges that she has been libeled, defamed and her privacy has been invaded by Cosby et al. A source close to the legal proceedings tells Hollywood, Interrupted, "Cosby paid to make the lawsuit go away."
The former Temple University athletic department employee is the woman who claimed that Cosby had drugged and sexually assaulted her during a visit to his Pennsylvania estate in 2005.

Lest you've forgotten, we're already the city that our own Mayor Wilson Goode bombed, Night night, Osage Avenue -- birthplace of the unattractive, annoyingly vocal, and always embarrassing, Ramona Africa. Our Explorer basketball team got charged with sexual assault of high school senior girls visiting to see if they wanted to matriculate. We are governed by huge dick, Senator Rick Santorum, who publicly equated consensual adult gay sex with bestiality and rape of children. And if that's not enough, we are home to cop killer, Mumia.
We've lost a recent Superbowl, got smoked in first round Stanley Cup playoffs, and are barely clinging to a shot at the National League East wild card. Last thing we needed was Picture Pages man to sully our rep farther.
