Scientology sponsors a new detoxification project for New York rescue workers.
Hollywood, Interrupted was not invited to the heterosexual Tom Cruise's self-congratulatory gala for the Scientology-sponsored New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project in Manhattan Thursday night. However, we can report that the "detox" program Cruise and his cult are perpetrating on health problem-plagued Ground Zero heroes is an utter sham.
Based on delusional Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard's spurious Purification Rundown (an intense and costly regimen of vitamins, vegetable oil, running around and long hours in a sauna) designed for his followers and potential recruits, the program can easily jeopardize the health of the duped rescue workers.
The most obvious health hazard to workers submitting to the Cruise-sponsored detox scam are the after-effects (dehydration, heat prostration, etc.) from over-exposure in a sauna.
"This is just hocus-pocus," Dr. Bob Hoffman of the New York City Poison Control Center told The New York Post in 2004. "For some people, sitting in a hot environment can be very dangerous." Also, niacin (administered in mega-doses during the suspect Scientology program), due to a myriad of contraindications, is medically recognized as a direct liver toxin and could potentially ruin the health of unwitting workers undergoing cult detox.
Niacin is used by Scientology in their purification scam to cause skin flushing, or niacin burns. Then, they con their victims into believing that the reddening of their skin is radiation, drugs and toxins being purged from their system.

The New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project mouthpieces assert: "Patients at the detoxification facility have stained towels blue, purple, yellow, orange, green and black. Black sludge, glass shards, and other matter have been observed to be coming out of the pores of program participants."
"Glass shards coming out of someone's pores would be a nifty magic trick," a physician tells Hollywood, Interrupted. "But it would never happen in a clinical observation setting."
UDPATE: A media insider attending the Cruise event reports, "Maybe fifty people showed up in a space designed to hold five-hundred."

Wow, Scientology is downright scary. How much LSD do you have to do to actually come up with these ideas and actually believe them? Personally I think that these mouth-breathers are so traumatized by walking in on mommy and daddy that they needed something to blame it on and somehow they met other people who act the exact same way and came up with Scientology while taking a dump.

It is hard to fathom that in our day and age people are still being duped by the oldest hokus pokus pranks in the book. Basic scientific edic, if it sounds too good to be true, it is and secondly, the most reasonable practical explanation is usually spot on. Clearly, if you sees any foreign objects coming out of your body (bsides your asshole, for the most part) then I'm afraid then you are being made into an asshole by a charlatan or con artist.

Who needs more proof that Tom Cruise is a psycho, i sure dont! But if you're not entirely convinced, check out these hilarious pictures we have here at work www.hollywoodzombies.com, since Tom is so familiar with life beyond reality, this pic of him should be right up his alley! Does anybody have a problem with Tom being characterized, other than Tom?
